Historical Tanahunsur Fam Trip

Tanahunsur is a village development committee in Tanahu District in the Gandaki Zone of central Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 2955 people living in 615

individual households. Tanahunsur is placed in Tanahu District in the central part of Nepal, is an exotic untouched village brilliant with culture, tradition as well as the excellent panoramic view of the Himalayas. This Tanahunsur village tour gives the chance to see the rural life, this is true microcosm of stunning natural beauty mixed with an unspoiled ethnic lifestyle, The inhabitants of this village are mostly Magar, Newar and some deprived community, you enjoy their customs, traditions and beliefs.

Tanahunsur village is mainly Mixed settlements; Newar, Magar, Brahmin, Chhetri, Damain, Sarki, Kasain etc; they nestle amidst mountains, rivers, streams, waterfalls and green forests. You also visit the Temple of Goddess Khadga Kali which symbolizes the destruction of devil, Gaddi Chautara and Rani Chautara. Dhikuri Ghar and Gola Ghar, Tundikhel, hatti bandhne dhunga-stone to tie elephant, Raja ko padhero, etc are other attraction of the Tanahunsur. This is historical palace of the ancient Tanahu Kingdom.

Tanahunsur is newly lanched non touristic village which is not spoilt by tourist. So you don’t find developed guest house and restaurant. This village is known as model home stay village. During the home stay, you enjoy their welcome and hospitality with local accommodation, food and drink that will be your lifetime memory. You will also enjoy the scenic beauty and the cultural performance of the local Magar Community.

These places command a superb breathtaking view, including panoramic view of the mountains in the north like Mt. Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, Lamjung Himal, Manaslu ranges and many more smaller It is our immense pleasure to inform you all that Nepal Magar Tourism Society is going to conduct 1 night / 2 days Tanahunsur Cultural FAM trip on September 12, 2014. We at NMTS would humbly request you all to participate in this grant event to promote Magar Cultural Village in national and international market.

0700 hrs  Departure From Sorahakhutte & on the way B/F and Nepali set Lunch
1500 hrs  Reception by Local people and transfer to home stay and Explore loccal Vallge
1900 hrs  Local Culture Programs & Interaction Program
